We found another of Timothy’s prayer journals in his old bedroom at home. In his signature style, he wrote on 3 pages, and left the rest blank! There is no year on the dates, but other entries close by would indicate around 2010 - 2011; 17-18 years old.
“Life is too short to not be happy all the time!”
Timothy not only made that declaration for himself, but he wanted to make everyone else happy, too! But he knew (as we all do) that the happiness that comes from a plane ride or a ski trip is only temporary; true lasting happiness (joy) comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Just a short time ago, someone asked Timothy why he seemed to be so happy, and he told them about putting his trust in the Lord for salvation. If anyone wants to know the joy of being at peace with God, please message me! I would be glad to talk and pray with you! Because “Life is too short” to put off that decision!
“…in Your presence there is fullness of joy” Ps 16:11

P.S. I also find it very interesting that a teenager would be focused on the brevity of life. Life is too short? Teenagers generally think they have all the time in the world. I have to wonder if he understood that his life would be short, and he would need to hurry to get everything done that he wanted to do.
"For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." James 4:14
